Are You a Movie Buff or a Reader? The Dual Joy of Entertainment

Both! I read more than I watch movies, but movies are a lot shorter. They offer a quick yet intense entertainment experience, while reading is a marathon that often yields a deeper understanding and engagement.

Blending Leisure and Passion

There was a time when I was only binge-watching Netflix. I felt bad for the books around me and decided to start reading. Then came a phase when I was only engrossed in reading. Struggling to give both habits equal time and attention, it keeps going on and off. Nowadays, I manage to read every day and catch up on movies every week.

Encompassing All Forms of Entertainment

Both! I also love graphic novels, manga, anime, K-Dramas, British mysteries, and many other forms of entertainment. I'm open to any form of content that can keep me entertained. Whether it's a movie, a book, or a series, I'm always on the lookout for something compelling.

Reading: A Mental and Linguistic Adventure

I consider myself both a reader and a movie buff. Reading helps me expand my vocabulary, improve my language skills, and explore the lives and times in a particular place and time span. It's an adventure and a pleasure. Movies, on the other hand, offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness beautiful places, feel a range of emotions, and experience events that might be unimaginable in real life. Whether it's a movie or a book, I'm a sucker for good content.

Choosing Content Wisely

Today, I am more selective about the content I choose to watch or read. I don't just randomly put on a movie or pick a book; I prefer ones that are worth watching or reading. I often watch trailers and check reviews to make sure the movie or book is worth my time. The same goes for books—I rely on descriptions and reviews to make informed decisions. Whether it's reading or watching, both have different yet creative impacts on our minds, so why not be both?

Thanks for reading about my journey with movies and books, and for the insight into my love for both forms of entertainment.
