Creating a More Civil and Open Society

Efforts towards creating a more open and civil society are already underway, albeit unintentionally. The goal should not be a naive and morally ambiguous open society, but rather a civil society based on goodness. This piece aims to explore the elements of goodness, such as transcendent love, virtue, and wisdom, and how they can be integrated into a structured approach to societal improvement.

The Fundamentals of Goodness in Society

The yearning for inner beauty, peace, purity, and nobility naturally leads people towards embracing and practicing goodness. Goodness is a complex mixture of various ethical attributes:

Transcendent Love

Transcendent love is described as a free gift of forgiveness and hope for virtuous betterment. It is unconditional, free from expectations, and helps in freeing individuals and others from their fears, thus fostering confidence, understanding, and skill.

Virtue

Virtue encompasses several essential traits, including truthfulness, wisdom, prudence, fearlessness, trustworthiness, self-restraint, honesty, forgiveness, organization, gratitude, cleanliness, caring, principled living, wisdom, courage, and humility. Embracing these virtues can lead to a more favorable social and personal environment.

Wisdom

Wisdom plays a crucial role in guiding individuals away from potential pitfalls and towards success. Drawing on accumulated insights, it helps in understanding which virtues are best to apply in different contexts, such as balancing courage and peace or logic and compassion.

Another aspect of goodness is inner fulfillment, which comes from continuous effort and sacrifice. This internal satisfaction lasts longer than the fleeting happiness derived from external experiences.

The Reality of Our Current Society

While society is currently free and open, many people experience a lot of criticism, loneliness, and dissatisfaction. It is essential to address the root causes and work towards a more civil society based on the principles of goodness.

Limiting Negative Influences

It is suggested to distance oneself from those who inhibit personal growth and development. For example, moving to Southeast Asia and away from manipulative feminist leaders can offer a new perspective and improve overall well-being.

Complete Racial Separation

For some, complete racial separation might be a recommended approach to avoid division and promote unity. It allows for a more cohesive society where cultural and ethnic differences are celebrated rather than isolated.

Strategizing Societal Improvement

To achieve a more civil society, a structured approach is necessary. This involves a team of experts, including sociologists, psychologists, and economists, to identify and adopt beneficial social practices from various cultures.

Team Collaboration

Building a team of experts is crucial. They should have similar focus but different opinions, enabling them to engage in intelligent debates and reach a compromise. Avoiding name-calling and hate is essential, as these tactics do not contribute to productive discourse.

Selectively Adopting Beneficial Practices

The team should evaluate social behaviors from different societies and select specific facets that benefit those societies. Instead of blindly copying entire cultures, focus on integrating elements that promote goodness and adaptability. This approach allows for a more flexible and context-specific social structure.

Implementation and Monitoring

Once the beneficial practices have been identified, they need to be seeded, taught, and made legally and politically feasible. Leading by example is more effective than imposing changes through force. People should be convinced of the benefits of the new approach and be willing to let go of old, familiar ways.

Finally, it is important to maintain continuous evaluation and improvement of the social structure. Preventing the deep-rooting of negative facets and adapting to local needs is crucial for long-term success.

By following these steps, we can create a more open and civil society that prioritizes goodness and inclusivity, ultimately creating a better future for all.
