Navigating Your Healing Journey: A Guide for the Confused Healer
Firstly, I want to commend you for taking the courageous step of seeking support and guidance. Your willingness to delve into your healing journey is a significant accomplishment. As a coach and counselor, I support individuals in various areas of trauma and emotional well-being, with a core approach centered around inner child healing.
Understanding the Healing Journey
The path to healing is highly personal and unique to each individual. Different methods have worked for different people, and the core of the work has almost always revolved around inner child wounds or core wounds. For this reason, I would encourage you to start your journey by exploring inner child healing.
It's important to know that a spiritual awakening is a process that occurs naturally and is orchestrated by the Divine. While you can cultivate a spiritual mindset, forcing or perpetuating an awakening from your own volition is not advisable. Instead, focus on the healing work that resonates with you and aligns with your personal journey.
Exploring Your Healing Journey
Below are some areas you can explore to help you navigate your healing journey:
Working with a Mental Health Professional
Working with a therapist, psychologist, coach, or counselor can provide you with a safe haven of support and guidance. This is particularly important when dealing with major triggers or emotional distress. I have found that collaboration with a professional has been immensely beneficial in my own journey.
Journaling
Journaling can be a powerful tool in your healing process. For example, you can explore journal prompts available on Pinterest, which cover a range of topics. Writing down your thoughts and emotions can help you understand and process them more effectively.
Meditation
Meditation is another valuable practice. There are numerous guided meditations available on YouTube that cover a wide array of topics, including inner healing. These practices can help you gain clarity and peace of mind.
Somatic Work
Somatic work, which can include yoga and breathwork, is an essential component of healing. Trauma is often stored in the body, and physical movements can help release and process these sensations. Engaging in such practices can be incredibly transformative.
Visualization Exercises
Visualization exercises are frequently used in my work with clients. These exercises can be powerful tools for mental and emotional healing.
Writing Your Life Story
Taking the time to write down your life story in age increments can provide valuable insights. Breaking it down into segments like birth to 7 years old, 7 to 14 years old, 14 to 21 years old, can help you understand the emotional and psychological patterns that have shaped your life.
Embracing Your Inner Perfection
The innermost core of your being is unbreakable and perfect. Understanding and connecting with this fundamental truth can help you navigate your healing journey with more ease. If you can recognize this, you may find that you don’t need to ‘journey’ anywhere, as you are already complete and perfect.
Remember, the past no longer exists and is subject to your perceptions. Once you understand how beautiful the present moment can be, you can release the hold it has on you. Awakening to your own luminous perfection will automatically render the nightmares of the past irrelevant.
Take it one step at a time, and be patient with yourself. Your journey to healing is valid and profound, and you are making significant strides by seeking guidance and support.
