My Favorites: A Closer Look at My Personal Fan Fiction World

As a passionate consumer of fan fiction, I find myself drawn to numerous stories from various fandoms. Here, I share some of my favorites, from Minecraft to Final Fantasy, and beyond.

Entry into the Fan Fiction World

Ruffling through my collection, I found myself captivated by the intricate plots and diverse characters in fan fiction. Some stories are from Minecraft, while others delve into the extensive world of the Ninjago series, or even cross into other genres. Here are some of my notable finds:

Minecraft Fan Fiction

Minecraft fan fiction offers a unique blend of fantasy and the game's world. Some of my favorite stories include:

“Herobrine” by NotPaul “Steven” “Stephan” “Understanding” by Galaxy-Forgotten “I’d Be Remiss...” “Minecraft: The Broken Flame” “TBC” (A crossover between XCOM: UFO Defense and Stargate SG1) - Sadly, it stopped updating years ago.

These stories explore different aspects of the Minecraft universe, from new characters to unique plot developments.

Ninjago Fan Fiction

Crossing over into the world of Ninjago, I was particularly drawn to:

“Under Wraps” “Return to the Cursed Realm” “Protector”

These stories dive into the Ninjago universe, featuring favorite characters and exciting adventures.

Other Fandoms

My taste is not limited to Minecraft and Ninjago. Other notable fan fiction works include:

“Solar Lunacy” by Bamsara on AO3 (A crossover between XCOM: UFO Defense and Stargate SG1) - There was even a sequel with Stargate Atlantis. Sadly, it stopped updating years ago. “Song of Silence” by Francesca Monterone (Hetalia: Axis Powers - A story about a selectively mute character, Italy, and his journey) “Ripples in Time” by ShivaVixen (Final Fantasy VII - A compelling time travel story) “The Island” by DecoNoir (Lord of the Rings - A story about elves and their encounters with a human girl) “Every Little Bit Helps” (Naruto - A time travel story with a dystopian twist)

My Favourite Fics

When asked for my favorite stories, I endeavor to remember four from each major fandom. Here are the stories I’ve chosen:

Hetalia: Axis Powers

“Song of Silence” by Francesca Monterone - A story about a selectively mute human, Italy, and his journey.

Final Fantasy VII

“Ripples in Time” by ShivaVixen - A compelling time travel story with a twist.

Lord of the Rings

“The Island” by DecoNoir - A story about elves who discover a portal to another world.

Naruto

“Every Little Bit Helps” - A time travel story with a dystopian twist.

I have chosen these stories based on their memorable characters and engaging narratives rather than their overall 'quality'. I hold a special place in my heart for these narratives and hope readers might find them as captivating as I have.

Update Central

Some of my favorite stories, however, have fallen into a state of disrepair. Stories like ‘Song of Silence’ and ‘Every Little Bit Helps’ have not been updated in a considerable time and the outlook for continuation is uncertain.

Conclusion

From thinkers in the Minecraft universe to the magical adventures of Lord of the Rings, fan fiction offers a rich tapestry of stories and worlds. My favorite slice of this tapestry is held together by the unique insights and creativity of the authors, and it's a world I treasure both for its endless possibilities and the joy it brings to me as a reader.
