Why Do People Call You Names Even If You Are Not Bad?

In life, there will always be individuals who are jealous and want to hold you back. It is crucial that you never become one of them. If you wouldn't take advice from someone, don't take their criticism. If people don't know you and project their dysfunction onto you, don't be surprised. Some people take the things they refuse to accept about themselves and blame others. It is far more important to know yourself and be who you are than to worry about what those who refuse to see themselves rightly might think of you.

Realize that because they think they can define you, even though they do not know who they themselves are! The only one who can truly define you is God - He made you! In this world, there are people who are inherently bad and those who strive to do good. You are not the first to be called bad names, and it is the way to handle every situation that hurts you to use every unpleasant situation to your advantage and laugh to yourself. Never get sad, as God will take care of them and they will be accountable.

Understand that Satan is the god of this world. Use every bad experience to your advantage. As soon as these accusers see that you are not bothered, they will go to someone else. They are there because Jehovah allows it for now, but very shortly, He will destroy ungodly people. You should read the free book Enjoy Life Forever from the JW website. Additionally, when you get hurt, tell Jehovah about it. If you do the right thing, you will be successful.

Others say all sorts of things about people they do not understand or know. They are simply seeking a response from you - a positive or negative one. Just be true to yourself. As long as you know yourself, you do not need to worry about what other people think or say. Be yourself.

Because you allow it, you do not defend yourself, comment, or make fun of them to put them in their place. For instance:

Their View: You're so _____ pathetic or any other negative thing called at you.

Your Response: Yeah lol. Is that really the best you’ve got? I'm "fat." Thanks for the news update, Captain Obvious. I had no idea I was fat until your proclamation just now. But that is subjective. Here’s a fact: Maybe I am overweight, but I can always diet if I feel like it or not. The fact remains that you are ugly in every way. You can't change ugly.

Remember, your worth is not determined by the opinions of others. Hold your head high and let these interactions be a reminder to keep focused on your true worth and character. Acknowledge your imperfections without devaluing yourself and seek God's guidance. In the long run, these experiences will make you stronger and more resilient.
