Unforeseen Futures and the Quest for Unity in Sci-Fi

Imagine a future where continents and nations join forces, not only to fight for supremacy but to also protect the very planet they live on. In the year 2065, an oil field dispute in the Antarctic sets off a conflict between the North American Alliance, the Soviet State of Russia, and Scandinavia. This conflict, far from earth-bound, escalates into a tripartite battle with conventional weapons, where nuclear options are no longer an option. As the war continues, unknown to the belligerents, a fourth army—the alien race hidden for centuries beneath the ocean—awaits. This race, previously regarded with awe and fear, hold the key to saving Earth from impending doom. The struggle becomes not just a fight for war but for peace, unity, and the survival of humanity.

Mystery and Supremacy: A Supernatural Detective Tale

In parallel to this futuristic conflict, my imagination fuels the birth of a new story: a supernatural murder mystery set within a Renaissance-fantasy superhero world. The protagonist, a detective whose quest for truth slowly draws her into the city's vampiric underworld, eventually transforms into a full-fledged Renfield in pursuit of immortality. This tale is not just a reflection of noir detective work, but a deep dive into themes of morality, the price of power, and the eternal struggle between the human and supernatural realms.

The Norse and Martian Blend: A Futuristic Epic

Another ambitious project that swims through the realms of science fiction and fantasy combines Norse mythology with the Barsoom series, the adventures of planetary soldier John Carter. In this retelling, the gods of the Norse pantheon are depicted as immense, alien champions of a far-off planet named Barsoom. This blend of mythology and futuristic adventure offers a fresh perspective on ancient tales, making them relatable and thrilling for modern audiences.

The Call for a Long-Awaited Genre Marvel

Amidst these imaginative pursuits, I have a long-standing desire for a different kind of story, one that has captivated me for years: a robust, multi-volume lesbian-themed Yuri manga focused on sports rivalry and intense competition. Unlike the romanticized genre, this manga emphasizes the competitive and athletic aspects, reflecting a more realistic and thrilling portrayal of sports manga. The demand for such stories is growing, with notable trends and sales indicating a significant interest.

As the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo loom, the timing could not be more perfect. With a growing roster of Yuri manga magazines and a strong sales base, the climate is ripe for this ambitious work. The sports chosen range from softball, rugby, martial arts, swimming, to even more unique options like equestrian, gymnastics, or even a fantasy gladiatorial sport reminiscent of Yawara: A Fashionable Judo Girl.

A Final Pursuit

Despite the many challenges and the need for artists and writers to invest time and effort, the pursuit of these stories remains a beacon of hope in my creative landscape. Whether it's the epic clash of civilizations or the quest for a thrilling, competitive narrative, the journey towards realizing these ideas is not only enriching but also a reminder of the endless possibilities in storytelling.
